FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY
The VFW Post 233 with the help of the Solera Veterans Club will be holding a Flag Retirement Program to be held at Noble Creek Park on March 10th at 9:00am. This is a very solemn ceremony that will be open to everyone that wishes to attend. If you have any flags that you would like to have retired, please drop them off at the Oakmont Club House before March 8th, so that we can pick them up prior to the ceremony. If you have any questions, please contact Don Blunk at 951-769-1621.

Webmaster Needed

POLICE NOTE RASH OF BURGLARIES

It is important to the Solera Board of Directors that the following article in the recent Record Gazette be brought to the attention of the community:

The Beaumont Police Department is alerting residents to a regional crime trend - an increase in burglaries in the East Valley, including Beaumont.
Incidents have taken place while residents are away from their homes during the day.
Police say that suspects who are committing the crimes are knocking on residential doors and, when theres no answer, they go into the backyard and enter the home from there.
Although the Police Department does not encourage residents to open their doors to unknown people, You should verbally let people know that you are home when someone knocks. according to city spokeswoman Darci Carranza.
As a reminder, solicitors within the city of Beaumont are required to have a city issued ID card. When you are leaving your home unattended, please remember to lock all your doors and windows, she said.
She also suggested, If you have a dog, you may consider leaving it in the backyard when you leave. Please report any suspicious people, vehicles, or activity in your neighborhood, and remember, that if it is suspicious to you, it is important to us.
The Beaumont Police Department can be reached by calling either 911 if a crime appears to be in progress, or (951) 769-8500 to report past information (or suspicious activity).
The Solera Board of Directors requests that the Solera Security Office also be contacted at 845-8648 if suspicious activity is witnessed or if a resident is a victim of a break-in or any other crime.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEMORIALIZE OR HONOR A LOVED ONE OR SOME OTHER SPECIAL PERSON OR ORGANIZATION ... AND ... HELP TO BEAUTIFY YOUR COMMUNITY AT THE SAME TIME???
The Solera Homeowners Association is implementing a commemoration program wherein a concrete bench, tree, or small garden area would be placed in the community in their honor.

A plaque in their memory/honor would be affixed to benches and would be placed in small garden areas. For individual trees, an attractive multiple donor plaque with individual leaves will be placed in a prominent location in the clubhouse.

While consideration will be given to donor requests for specific plant materials and placement of plants and benches, final determination will be at the discretion of the Solera HOA Common Area Landscape Advisory Committee. (The donor will be notified of the placement location and type of tree.)

Donation costs vary - starting at $131.

Forms are available at the clubhouse or can be downloaded from this site by clicking HERE.

For more information, contact Leeann Weiskopf at 845-9289.
